In fact, the notion of tattoo removals has recently become just as popular as several celebrities have started the process of tearing down their larger designs to further their acting careers (those cover-ups aren't always easy on-screen). While removals are picking up, the designs in the public world are far from slowing down. However, there are those who not only oppose the idea but have outright rejected it. Most people would assume that those in the music industry would feel more compelled to get tattoos in support of their work and the culture surrounding it. Rap culture especially seems to be a place in which tattoos appear prevalent. Lil Baby, however, steps up as an exception. The rapper admitted at young age he decided he just didn’t want tattoos to avoid putting forth a certain image of himself. Simple as that.
7 Ice-T Remains Cold Towards Tattoos
Similar to Lil Baby, Ice-T wants to avoid the world of stereotypes and keep his skin clean of any designs. He’s quite proud of the fact that he’s made it through his career without tattoos, drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol. In his mind, keeping clean is the most gangsta a person can get and he's proud to serve as a role model for a younger generation.

6 Big Sean Doesn't Want To Back Out
Another rapper who joins the tattoo-free crowd is Big Sean. While he has nothing against getting some ink on his skin, the "Bounce Back" rapper has declared himself far too indecisive to make those decisions. Rather than get something and regret it shortly, he just stays away from designs altogether.
5 Megan Thee Stallion Pays Homage To Her Mom
While she can be wild in her performance, Megan Thee Stallion keeps pretty clean with her body regarding tattoos. She cites the reason for her lack of ink to be her mother, who was also a rapper. Her mother was so against tattoos, she often threatened a whooping if Megan ever went through with it. Even into adulthood, it's stuck with Megan enough to stop her from ever trying it.
4 J. Cole Doesn’t Bend To Stereotypes
Another fan of avoiding stereotypes, J. Cole stands against tattoos for unknown reasons as he likes to keep things private. The rapper hasn’t spoken directly regarding tattoos, however, he is known in the public for standing up against elements he sees as the clichés of rap culture.

3 Niall Horan Bites His Nails At The Thought
The only one left out of One Direction without any ink, Niall Horan shakes at the thought. The artist loves the images and possible symbolism behind them but absolutely fears the needle. He even panicked during a game of Tattoo Roulette on The Late Late Show with James Corden as it came down to a 50/50 shot between him and Corden himself. Luckily, Horan made it out ink-free and at this point, he’s happy to avoid the buzzing needle for as long as he can.

2 Megan Fox Wanted A Clean Start
Technically speaking, Megan Fox was tattooed before. The actress got a portrait of Marilyn Monroe on her forearm at age 18 as she heavily empathized with the figure and wanted to pay homage to all she'd been through. Recent years have seen that image fade as she’s had the image removed. Fox claims she wants to get rid of the negative energy the tattoo brought in an effort to start fresh.
1 Mark Ruffalo Rebels By Opting Out
The original cast of The Avengers made news in 2018 for getting tattoos to signify their journey in Marvel together. The unique design appeared on Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, and their tattoo artist, but Mark Ruffalo kept himself out of the game due to his fear of needles. Ruffalo also claims he loves to rebel and refuse conformity, so being the odd one out really gave him a sense of rebellion and being punk rock.
