Dorit Kemsley joined Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season seven and is still a part of the roster today. Now that she has a few seasons under her belt, Dorit has grown a lot from the earlier days of #PantyGate, #PuppyGate, and serving wine in the wrong glass. As of season ten, she's no longer the center of the dram on RHOBH because Denise took that spot.

But what do we really know about Dorit? Fans of the show have all seen her relationship with Paul (PK) and her two kids Jagger and Phoneix, but there's more to this Connecticut born beauty than we see on screen.

10 Why Does Dorit Have An Accent That Isn't American?

First things first: why does Dorit have a non-American accent? It's not quite British, it's not Spanish — it's a mix of different pronunciations that make Dorit sound both classy and foreign. Funny enough, she was born and raised in Connecticut.

She attributes her accent to a few different things. For starters, she married a man from London with a very heavy accent. She said, "I’m sure some of his inflections have sort of rolled over on me.” Dorit notes that her accent comes from the environment she's in. Being friends with people from different cultures forced her to adapt to other languages and accents.

9 She Speaks Three Languages

People may mock Dorit's unique accent but maybe it's out sorts because she speaks three different languages. According to Bustle, Dorit speaks Hebrew, Italian, and Spanish. With both of her parents being from Isreal, she wanted to learn the language as fluently as they did, so she insisted on her dad to only speak to her in Hebrew so she could learn.

With her parents being from Isreal and Dorit's love of fashion taking off, she spent many years going back and forth between America and Europe. She soon picked up Italian and Spanish, and according to Dorit, her Italian is better than her Spanish.

8 She Had A New York Wedding

Dorit has touched on her love story with PK briefly but for those who don't remember, it all started in New York. Back in 2011, Dorit was living in New York City when she met PK through friends. At the time, PK was living in Los Angeles but ended up moving to New York to be with Dorit. When the pair became engaged, getting married in New York seemed like the most obvious choice as it's where their love story began.

The wedding took place in 2015 at the Rainbow Room, surrounded by friends, celebrities, and family.

7 Dorit Went To School In Italy

Although Dorit was born and raised in Connecticut, once she graduated high school she left the US for Italy to follow her love of fashion.

She received her bachelor's degree from Quinnipiac University in Marketing, Design, and Communication (perhaps it was a study abroad arrangement?). With her degree, Dorit used what she learned in school to launch her own fashion line.

6 She Was Engaged Once Before

Regardless of the age difference between Dorit and PK, it's obvious the two are head over heels for one another. However, PK wasn't her first serious relationship. She was actually engaged once before.

In an episode of RHOBH, Dorit briefly noted that while living in Italy, she was dating an Italian man named Antonio for 10 years! The two became engaged but ended up breaking things off, which is when Dorit headed back for New York.

5 Her Son Has Speech Problems

Dorit has two children, Pheonix and Jagger. She is a very proud mom and feels lucky to have kids since she had them later in life. Dorit has also been very open about the difficulties of raising two young kids. She's been pretty open about her son's difficulties with speech. According to Heavy, she believes her son suffers from apraxia, which is when a child finds it difficult to speak. She enrolled Jagger in speech therapy and finally started seeing improvement after just six months.

4 Dorit Is A Stepmother

Dorit isn't just a mother of two, she's also a stepmother! PK was married to someone prior to meeting Dorit and the former couple had three children: Atlanta, Tatum, and Daniel. All three are young adults with miniature lives of their own. While Tatum and Daniel appear off the grid on social media, Atlanta is a makeup artist in the Los Angeles area.

And just in case people are wondering Dorit is seen as the evil stepmother — she gets along swimmingly with her stepkids.

3 Dorit Thanks Her Grandmother For Meeting PK

Before Dorit met her husband, her 87-year-old grandmother promised to find Dorit her soulmate. It wasn't until she passed away that Dorit met PK on a whim. According to Wedding Style Magazine, Dorit explained after meeting PK, he asked her on a date the following day. Dorit denied him because she was flying to Hong Kong for work that day. But after thinking about what her grandmother told her, she decided to cancel her flight and spend the day with PK. “We went out and have been inseparable from that first night," she said.

2 She Used To Live With Boy George

Dorit is a fashion designer and PK is a businessman with his hands in multiple projects. Due to their busy lives, they collectively had great connections.

According to Bravo TV, Dorit and PK met Boy George after he approached PK about managing him. Ever since that meeting, the three had a strong bond and became fast friends. When Boy George is in LA, he stays with the Kemsleys and ended up becoming a long-term houseguest. Dorit explained, "When my husband's not there, it's him and I — and we'll dine together; we'll cook together. He's with the kids. All of his friends become our friends and vice versa. And he's also George in our house. He's not always Boy George."

1 Dorit Has Two Siblings Who Are Also Succesful

We don't learn too much about the housewives siblings unless they're on the show. But it turns out Dorit has an older brother (Daniel) and a young sister (Debbie).

Daniel is a real estate agent in their home state of Connecticut and her sister Debbie has her own travel concierge business!
