Given all his success at a young age, it could've been easy for Macaulay Culkin to completely spiral off the map. Not only was he a major star thanks to 'Home Alone' but by the age of 14, he was already involved in court battles against his own father, in relation to his $17 million payday. Despite some bumps and hiccups along the way, the actor admits things could've been a lot worse, "You know, I am a former child actor,” he says with a sarcastic chuckle. “I’m supposed to be a lot more messed up than I am. I took a certain amount of pride that I wasn’t that cliché, so it was, like, Oh, great, I gave a lot of people exactly what they wanted.”

Culkin revealed that a couple of moments changed his life, one of them was meeting Michael Jackson, who acted as a father figure around him. Culkin admits things also started to change for the better when he started caring less about the opinions of others, "If someone actually calls out that name on the street, I don’t turn my head. Literally. When I was 14 and I quit, I said I’m never doing that again—say whatever you want about me. That I’m crazy, that I’m an alcoholic. Call me a drug addict. I don’t give a shit anymore.
